This week, black women once again were singled out by anti-abortion activists, when a poster placed in the Soho neighborhood of New York claimed that “The most dangerous place for an African American is in the womb.â€
Will all the hub-bub regarding Tyler Perry’s “For Colored Girls,” the parodies have already started. I personally think this make fun of Tyler’s storytelling style rather than Ntozake Shange’s original choreopoem, but you tell me: Does this go to far? Or just far enough?
