Will all the hub-bub regarding Tyler Perry’s “For Colored Girls,” the parodies have already started. I personally think this make fun of Tyler’s storytelling style rather than Ntozake Shange’s original choreopoem, but you tell me: Does this go to far? Or just far enough?
“(Racism) is not about one-on-one. Anyone can like an individual.”-Joan Rivers.
Whoopi was wise to end at “People say dumb stuff sometimes.” She was about to give Joan Rivers some Paul Mooney-level street cred.
I came across this gem on Facebook last night. It made me think of a Dialogue on Race program I attended once, where a white participant shared that she felt being “just” a white person was “boring.” Hmm.
